ignore your teeth and they'll go away

I went to the Dentist today. I won't admit how long its been since I've been since the last time I went. Its a little embarrassing. The hygienist said my teeth looked pretty good. My wisdom teeth are popping out, but as long as their not bothering me, its nothing to worry about. I have 2 cavities to get filled on Thursday.
I know a lot of people who like going to the dentist. Or at least don't mind much. I am not one of them.
I hate going to the dentist. Everything about it is unpleasant to me. That thing you have to put in your mouth for the x-ray makes me want to gag. The scraping sound echoing in my head is like nails on a chalkboard. That nasty polishing stuff that feels all fuzzy in my mouth. And what is with that suction thing. I hate it. And that is all before you get a filling.
My mom said to me, "I think its ranked right up there with a trip to the gyno."
I think I'd rather get a pap smear.

oh Erin, I am right there with you! I went to the dentist last week for the first time since Caleb was born (gasp!) But I'm one up on you: I have FIVE fillings to get redone. oh, the joy!! (insert sarcastic eyeroll here) :)
Oh...now you are starting to make me sad =( J/K I know everyone hates us dental people. I actually hate the polish too. BUT I would much rather go to the dentist for fillings than the doctor for just a check up any day! I guess it's because I'm a dental person and around it all day long!
I am right with you, Erin! I have such a phobia. I go a couple times a year, but inherited some problems in my mouth and it is unpleasant to go. Steven and Kyla should move here when schooling is over and then I would maybe not mind going to the dentist so much.

i agree with you erin. i've always said that i would rather have a pap smear than go to the dentist. i hate the smell, just walking in to the office.
I am starting to think it is creepy. I went to the dentist this last week! The first time in years and I too shall have the great pleasure of having cavities filled!
Gross... You crack me up! Hey, so why didn't Dave come visit us when he was up? We were waitin for a phone call and then never heard from him! Enjoyed your posts--hope you're all doing well!
